Chaplain's Report

December 2013

First of all I Nancy and I want to wish all of our vets a very Merry CHRISTmas and a blessed 2014. It is that special time of year when we come to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. With Christianity being under attack like never before I count it a blessing to be able to still say Merry Christmas.  May God bless all of our veterans for the sacrifices made for our freedoms.

Recently we have had some who were hospitalized for various reasons. Rafael Hernandez had a heart valve leakage and came thru his surgery and is doing fine. Charles Broach was in the hospital for 14 days with gall bladder infections. He is at home and on the mend. Arlen Serbus , one of our donut dollies and whose husband is a Korean Marine combat vet and open heart surgery and is now at home and doing much better.  Please continue to keep these in your prayers. Also pray for Korean War vet Ra Steelman who had a stroke and is now in rehab in Palestine. Continue to pray for Bro. M.T. Blackmon, a WW2 Marine vet and his son Jerry who is also battling a brain tumor.  Continue the prayers for Bro.Espenlaub, Hal Landon , and for each other. It is a blessing to serve as one of the Chaplains for our VVA 991. Again, everyone have a Merry CHRISTmas and a prosperous new year.
